About

Fitting in has been an issue for MANY kids over MANY years. I’ve always been quirky and different. I am an Aspie. I have Asperger Syndrom. Your first impression of me may be that I’m a little strange, but I’m just me. You can be sure that you’ll never meet someone just like me.

If you’d like to contact me personally, my e-mail address is allie_shrimp_000@yahoo.com and the “subject title” should be “AS Related” so that I know not to “spam” it. πŸ™‚ Thanks!

  1. Allie, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my son’s post. I think he feels much the same as you do – some days he embraces his AS and recognizes its specialness and other days he just wants to stay inside his cocoon of a room and not venture any farther than Facebook will take him. Good luck with your blog. I’m going to be following you and cheering you on from my part of the blog world!

  2. Allie – love your posts! What a great perspective you have – I think you should become an SLP someday! You’d be able to share so much!
Thanks for putting into words what so many of my kids struggle with each day. Many of the kids I work with have a hard time expressing it, but I know they would write about their bad days like this if they could. Thank you!

    • Thank you so much for the encouragement. πŸ™‚ What you said means a lot to me. Helping others was the exact reason I started this blog. I’m glad to find that I’ve been true to the original purpose. You’re welcome to ask questions or suggest topics (this might be a good project for your kids to work on. Suggesting topics for me to write about). You can contact me at allie_shrimp_000@yahoo.com

      Allie.

  3. Hey Allie,
Thanks for reading my blog & hitting “Like”. I’m just nosing around your blog and finding a lot of stuff I can relate to!
Meltdowns are the hardest thing for me — I try to avoid them at all costs but once I’m on the “meltdown chute” there’s almost no turning back. Horrible! πŸ˜› I like your suggestions for avoidance tho.
    Best,
    “Asparagus Girl” πŸ™‚

    • It is my pleasure entirely. I write so that others may have an easier time. I’m glad that you found you could relate to it. I completely despise being a blubbering mess, so avoid meltdowns at all costs, right?

      Always,
      Allie.
